Volunteer

The BBCBC has joined the Whatcom Volunteer Agency.  What this means to volunteers is you are assured a safe and meaningful volunteer experience and your volunteer hours combine with hundreds of other volunteers to make Whatcom County such a wonderful place to live.  Whatever your talent, we will find a satisfying way for you to contribute to BBCBC's future.  As a volunteer you may be eligible for free Red Cross First Aid and CPR training, and for gas mileage reimbursement for miles driven in your volunteer service.  We do our best to make your volunteer workplace a safe place to be, but should you sustain certain types of injuries, you may be eligible for secondary health insurance.  join our volunteer family and "mess about" with boats.

As a 501c3 charitable organization, BBCBC may offer a tax-deduction for gifts to BBCBC.  Gifts help us upgrade our fleets of kayaks, sailing dinghies and rowing shells, as well as our safety boat and equipment.  We appreciate every gift, large or small - your giving helps put the "community" in the Bellingham Bay Community Boating Center.

Boats/Equipment needed!

- If you have a kayak, rowing shell, rowboat, or sailboat, we'll accept it as a donation. 

- We can recut sails to fit our boats if they are in good condition.  

- Shop tools  

- VHF radios  

- HIgh quality 14" RIB Inflatable needed for a rescue boat (or other suitable craft)
